The following maps, charts and diagrams were created by a variety of individuals, although most were made under the auspices of the Goodenough Exploration Project. Permission to use any of these maps is required *before* being used. All rights for all maps are reserved by their respective copyright holders and/or authors.

Important note: It’s already mentioned several times on different pages on this website, but it bears repeating: Goodenough Springs is one of the most dangerous underwater caves in the world. No amount of training and experience can prepare you for this cave. Only through careful incremental steps of introduction to the cave and its environment can dives be conducted safely. You and you alone are responsible for the result of any action you take with the information provided on this web site.

The entrance to this cave is — at normal lake levels — beyond the limit for recreational divers. If regular air is used for this dive, you will likely get nitrogen narcosis, suffer the bends, or both. The conditions in the lake at the entrance to the cave are rarely pleasant, with low visibility and entanglement hazards. Only advanced and experienced cave divers with trimix gases and proper equipment should ever attempt to enter the cave and, if it’s your first dive there, only with a guide who has been in the cave before.
